New Beginnings...For All Trans Folks....

Living our truths ALL YEAR!

We celebrate Life, Love, and our Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming, and Nonbinary and all Gender-Diverse Communities.

During our celebrations we Educate, erase Stigmas, create True Empowerment and True Inclusion.

May Is: TransPride was created to address the critical gaps in information, services and visibility of the transgender, gender non-conforming and gender expansive communities in the DMV. Today, the event has grown into a true celebration including over 75 community partners and over 700 attendees.

This year's virtual event includes partnerships with organizations and leaders from across the nation!

The workshops and talks include topics on Gender and Name Change in DC, Gender Affirming Services at Whitman-Walker Health, Choosing a Health Plan for Medical Transition, LGBTQ Youth Housing, Decolonization and more.

Our keynote speaker is Ignacio G. Rivera, M.A. (they/them/theirs). They are an Activist, Writer, Educator, Sex(ual) Healer, Filmmaker, Performance Artist and Mother. They will be speaking on the Roadmap to Visibility: Examining Pleasure, Pain, and Pride.

[Note: ASL and closed caption will be available.]
